Prostate cancer is the most common cancer in men – affecting about 1 in 8 men at some point during their lifetime. It usually develops slowly, so there may be no signs you have it for many years. However, if you notice changes in the way you urinate (such as an sudden need to urinate, urinating more frequently, weak flow/dribbling, straining while urinating or a feeling that your bladder has not fully emptied) then please book an appointment to see a GP. These symptoms do not mean you definitely have prostate cancer as they can be caused by other conditions, but they should NOT be ignored. It is more likely that they are caused by something else but we’d rather you got it checked out!
