Repeat Prescriptions

Repeat prescriptions can be ordered in the following ways:

• Online —  To register for this free service simply download the NHS App. Once downloaded and registered you can order your repeat prescriptions at any time of the day or night.

• By Post — place your repeat prescription slip in one of the Repeat Prescription postboxes at the surgery.  There is one outside the main entrance to the building (to the right hand side of the doors) for use when we are closed, and another one inside the main doors on the right hand side before you enter the dispensary.  Please ensure the items you require are ticked on the right hand side of your repeat slip.

• Automatic Repeat Dispensing (for dispensing patients only)– We offer a repeat dispensing service for those patients on repeat medication.  This is an automatic reordering system, where we will reorder your medication for you every 4 weeks without the need for you to drop your repeat slip in or phone up.  We do request however that you indicate the items you require on the repeat prescription slip each time you collect.  If you wish to sign up for this service please speak to one of our dispensing team.

Dispensing patients:  Please allow 3 full working days for all repeat prescriptions (i.e. a prescription slip handed in on a Monday will be ready to collect from Thursday). 

Non-dispensing patients:  For patients we are unable to dispense to, please allow 3 working days plus the processing time of the pharmacy that you collect your prescription from.

New Patients

If you are a new patient at our practice you will need to see your a GP before we can issue any repeat medication.  Please speak to a Receptionist to arrange an appointment.

Medication synchronisation

If your medicines run out at different times and you would like them to be synchronised (to enable you to collect them all together) please speak to a member of the dispensary team.
